A: Islamic Menstrual Tracker is an app designed to help Muslim women track their menstrual cycles according to Shafi’i jurisprudence. It provides automatic rulings for Haid (menstruation) and Istihadhah (irregular bleeding), cycle predictions, and complete privacy with local data storage.
Q: Is my data private?
A: Yes! All your data is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal information to external servers. Your menstrual data never leaves your device.
Q: Which Islamic school of thought does the app follow?
A: The app currently follows Shafi’i jurisprudence (madhab) for determining Haid and Istihadhah rulings. Support for additional madhabs may be added in future updates.
Q: Is the app free?
A: Yes, the core tracking features are completely free. Premium features (extended calendar views, predictions, language switching) are available through an optional subscription.
Q: How do I start tracking my cycle?
A: Simply tap the “Start Period” button on the home screen when your period begins. The app will automatically track the duration and provide Islamic rulings based on your cycle history.
Q: What if I forget to log my period?
A: You can manually add past periods by going to the History tab and using the manual entry feature.
Q: How accurate are the predictions?
A: Predictions are based on your historical cycle data. The more cycles you track, the more accurate the predictions become. However, predictions are estimates and should not replace personal observation.
