Privacy Policy

Summary

Budgetn does not collect or transmit any personal financial data. Everything you enter stays on your device. The one exception is in-app purchases: if you upgrade to Budgetn Premium, purchase processing is handled by RevenueCat using an anonymous identifier — no budgeting data is ever shared.

1. Information we collect

Almost none.

Budgetn does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, financial data, usage analytics, crash reports, or any other data to our own servers. We have no servers.

All data you enter — income, expenses, categories, settings — is stored exclusively in your device’s local storage (AsyncStorage) and never leaves your device, except as described in Section 3 (in-app purchases).

2. Data stored on your device

The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

Monthly income and fixed cost figures you provide during setup
Expense records you log manually
Category allocation preferences
App settings (dark mode, currency, week start day)
Subscription status (Budgetn Premium entitlement, cached locally after verification)

This data is accessible only to you and to the Budgetn app. It is not shared with us or any third party.

3. Third-party services

RevenueCat (in-app purchases only)

Budgetn uses RevenueCat to process in-app purchases and manage subscription entitlements (Budgetn Premium). If you make a purchase or restore purchases, RevenueCat receives:

An anonymous app-user identifier (generated randomly at first launch; not linked to your name, email, or any financial data)
Purchase and subscription status from Apple / Google
Device platform, OS version, and app version (for compatibility purposes)

RevenueCat does not receive any budgeting data, expense records, income figures, or financial information you enter into Budgetn. Their privacy policy is available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

If you never make a purchase, RevenueCat’s SDK is still present in the app but only transmits the anonymous identifier to verify entitlement status.

No other third-party services

No analytics SDKs, advertising networks, data brokers, crash reporting tools, or cloud sync services are integrated. Budgetn contains no tracking pixels, no social media SDKs, and no advertising identifiers beyond what the platform (Apple / Google) sets by default.

4. Permissions

Budgetn does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, photos, or any other sensitive device capability.

5. Data deletion

You can delete all app data at any time:

In-app: Settings → Reset → Confirm. This permanently deletes all expenses, settings, and onboarding data from your device.
OS-level: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

To cancel a subscription or request a purchase refund, use your Apple ID / Google Play account settings directly. Apple and Google handle all billing and refund requests.

6. Children

Budgetn is rated 4+ / Everyone. We do not knowingly collect any information from children or any other users.

7. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy we will revise the “Last updated” date above. We will notify users of material changes through the app or the store listing.
